My Quarantine 15

I guess it’s time to explain myself or most of you all might think I had an overindulgent holiday season! Hehe.

Yes! I am pregnant!!

Baby is due June 1st and Barrett and I couldn’t be more thrilled! We are waiting to find out the gender until the little one arrives. (Because who doesn’t love a good surprise)? We keep trying to explain to Curly (our puppy) that he won’t be the baby for much longer, but I’m not sure if he’s getting it quite yet…

I feel very lucky that my health has been great during this first half of the pregnancy. I experienced hardly any morning sickness, but was accused of being borderline-narcoleptic by my husband. Falling asleep on the couch at 7:30 pm every night and taking long naps most days of the week. But that has waned quite a bit and I’ve been feeling a lot more myself as of late. I’ve gotten a decent amount of exercise, I can eat vegetables again, and feel incredibly lucky to have so many beneficial modalities for optimum health for me and the babe at my fingertips: acupuncture, reflexology, massage, and reiki.

The plan is to take 3 months off over the summer and then will come back ready to rock and roll in the fall. I can’t stay away from my Alpenglow family for too long! But no fear, between Karen and Megan, and another substitute (we have yet to find), you all will be taken care of while I’m out.

In the meantime, I have had a blast telling those of you that I’ve seen in the clinic and look forward to seeing all of you before I take my leave. Thank you to everyone who has shown so much love and support so far-- I appreciate it so much. All of the blessings and happy thoughts and experiences of your own…its so exciting! I love hearing your stories and taking any advice I can get at this point. 2021 is turning out to be bright indeed and I feel so blessed to bring a new little life into the world!
