Ear Acupuncture

I know that many of you had some ear points during the treatment. Doesn’t it hurt? Yes it does. But we still put some needles into it. We use points in the ear for good reason:

"Ear acupuncture has a powerful effect on the mind and body because of the unique location of acupuncture points on the ear, in close proximity to the brain. it counteracts the effect of stress on the whole body with far-reaching effects on digestion, fertility, recovery from injuries, mental health, and overall well being" says Marina Richardson, M.D., instructor in clinical medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University.

Introduced by French neurologist, Paul Nogier proposed a more systemic and standardized approach to Auriculotherapy in 1957. Auriculotherapy has since then been introduced to the international scientific community such as Japan, Russia, China in 1958.

We like to select specific ear points, because we have seen that ear acupuncture responds quickly and provides instant relief . Which also gives you great additional benefit to your acupuncture treatment. When we look at your ear, we see the projection of a map of the body in your ear. They have less tissue so it is easier to locate the points. It is quite accurate and sometimes better than finding the affected point in the thick muscle area. I hope it makes sense to you all.

Over the years, I have seen great results with people who have specific chronic problems that a Physician could not resolve, such as brain tumor which causes a ringing in the ear. I also saw great results with chronic insomnia, chronic eye sensitivity problems, stress, PTSD, seasonal allergies and addiction over the years.

If you have any health issue that has not been resolved or reduced; then I would suggest an Auriculotherapy treatment . In this treatment I use a small Japanese electric device to find the affected points of the whole body through the ears. Auriculotherapy hurts a bit but really works and gets amazing results! If this sounds interesting to you then call us today to schedule your standard acupuncture treatment.
