Herbal Medicine Wins

Illustration of Herbal Supplements

For most of you, I have used Chinese herbs for one thing or another over the years. Whether it be a cold or allergies, hot flashes, stress and anxiety, cycle issues, etc., etc., I have probably tried herbal medicine to help your condition. Recently, I’ve been doing some really fun stuff with herbs and watched it work miracles, so I wanted to tell you about it!

First example I’ll tell you about – pediatric Chinese herbs for my baby! Some of you read about Worthy being sick a few weeks ago. (Thank you for everyone’s concern, by the way)! Turns out, it was a combination of teething and his first actual virus, which was a really fun time had by all, let me tell you! Our poor guy was miserable- snotty, drooly, feverish, lethargic, cranky… Everything you could think of. When things started to go downhill, I gave him ColdQuell Jr. right away. It helped, but not 100%. He was better for a couple days…BUT after stopping the herbs too early, he got worse again. I took him to the doc and it turned out he had a mild, double ear infection. At that point, we agreed on a 2-day “wait and watch” period before any more medical intervention (i.e. Antibiotics).
I immediately started treating him with my pediatric tools and actual needles! I switched his formula to Bupleurum & Angelica, a tincture specific for ear infections, and POOF! In 24 hours, he had no more fever, was back to his old self, and when we had his ears checked again, they had completely cleared! It felt amazing to have the tools to treat him without having to resort to antibiotics. I know that sometimes those are necessary, but because this situation was mild, I felt very confident in my ability to help his body heal with other modalities!

Secondly, handfuls of my patients have come down with the virus-that-must-not-be-named (hint: it starts with a C) and we’ve determined that if we can get herbs in your system immediately, it dramatically helps with the severity and duration of the illness. The trick is to match our formulations with what your symptoms are. As we know, not all viruses are alike, so it's a matter of doing a virtual visit to determine what you’re experiencing before putting an herbal mixture together. Below are a few testimonials from those who experienced a miraculous turn around after getting herbs in their system within 24 hours:

“I got the virus that must not be named after nearly two years of dodging it. I have been vaccinated but I felt terrible, almost like I had the flu. I decided to call my acupuncturist, Sarah, to see if there was anything she could do herb-wise. She got me on the schedule that day for a virtual visit. She then prepared herbs based on my symptoms within a couple hours. I started taking them that day and the next morning I was feeling 95% normal. I felt sick for not even a day which I attribute to the herbs! Thanks for all your help keeping me (and you) healthy via the virtual visit while I had the virus.” -KC

“Sarah helped my partner and I over the holiday break when our whole family came down with the C word. I did a virtual appointment explaining our symptoms and she whipped up a magical potion. She asked specific questions so she could really tailor the tincture for us. This was so helpful to continue to get the care from her without having to go into the clinic.” -BK

It's just a healthy reminder to call us if you’re feeling sick or have curiosity about herbs in general!

No matter if you’re able to come in or not– we have ways to treat you!
